TUG OF WAR SEASON 2

Tug of War Season 2 is a premier community sporting event organized by the Thunder Bay Malayalee Association, taking place on July 11, 2026, at the Dominion Motors Parking Lot, 882 Copper Crescent, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Building on the success of last year’s event, this year’s competition is expected to attract approximately 1,200–1,500 spectators and participants from across Northwestern Ontario.

The event will feature 14 competitive men’s tug of war teams, including 10 travelling teams from outside Thunder Bay and 4 local teams. The competition aims to promote teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, physical fitness, and healthy competition while fostering connections among diverse communities.

In addition to the sporting competition, attendees will enjoy a vibrant family-friendly atmosphere with food vendors, cultural engagement, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with community organizations and local businesses. The event serves as a platform to celebrate cultural diversity, encourage active lifestyles, and strengthen community relationships.

Tug of War Season 2 is designed to bring people together regardless of age, background, or culture, creating a welcoming environment that promotes inclusion, unity, and community pride. Through sport and community participation, the event continues to grow as one of the region’s most anticipated multicultural and recreational gatherings.
